That's why it is such an honor to tell you about an amazing organization, dedicated to helping those battling these diseases today, as well as those waging war for treatments and cures. The LLS Man/Woman of the Year campaign is about each of you.
I am an experienced sportscaster, actor, writer and producer. I am currently working in Oklahoma City as a sideline reporter for Thunder TV. Prior to that, I was a Morning News Anchor for Fox25 KOKH-TV. I continue to work on my writing and acting, as well as my human being skills. I sit on the boards of several charitable non-profits, including Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park and have hosted wonderful events, including the Maisha Banquet, American Lung Association's Clean Air Challenge and others. I am thrilled to be a part of the 2009 Man and Woman of the Year Campaign and I look forward to helping to further the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission, to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

We ask that you join us by making a contribution to this fundraising campaign. Each dollar we raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most donations is named the Oklahoma Man or Woman of the Year. We are raising money in honor of the boy of the year, Chason Andrew and the girl of the year, Morgan Snowden and truly hope to make blood cancers a thing of the past. All donations are greatly appreciated. Your donation is tax deductible and will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society programs, including research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services. Consider buying a table for your organization so you can be a part of our prestigious annual gala and auction. Bidding opportunities include a Thunder basketball with signatures of the historic first team as well as art, home goods, great dining, and more.
Not to mention the chance to meet and be inspired by some amazing cancer survivors.

I am a bit hokey, some say, but I believe one word, love, can cure all. If we treat each day with hope, each person we meet with compassion, each opportunity to learn with eagerness and allow our hearts to speak freely with passion, then we are applying the healing energy which can make this world, our world, a better place. Chason belives it, too. He gave me this art which he created while battling his disease, to remind me of the power each of us commands.
